In this video, I'll show how to fix Red Dead Redemption 2 not launching, not opening.
Go to Red Dead Redemption 2 folder
Select "PlayRDR2"
Right-click it
Click on "Properties"
Click on "Compatibility"
Check the option to "Disable fullscreen optimizations"
Check the option to "Run this program as administrator"
Click on "Apply"
Click on "OK
Select "RDR2"
Right-click it
Click on "Properties"
Click on "Compatibility"
Check the option to "Disable fullscreen optimizations"
Check the option to "Run this program as administrator"
Click on "Apply"
Click on "OK
Go to "Documents"
Open "Rockstar Games" folder
Open "Red Dead Redemption 2" folder
Open "Settings" folder
Select "system"
Right-click it
Move your mouse to "Open with"
Choose "Notepad"
Click on "Edit"
Click on "Find"
Write: "API"
Press ENTER
In "kSettingAPI_Vulkan", select the "Vulkan" word
Write "DX12"
Click on "File"
Click on "Save"
Right-click on RivaTuner
Click on "Close"
Go to the Steam folder
Select "Steam"
Click on "Properties"
Click on "Compatibility"
Check the option to "Run this program as administrator"
Click on "Apply"
Click on "OK
Select "Steam"
Right-click it
Click on "Show more options"
Click on "Create shortcut"
You can use this shortcut to run Steam as administrator.
You can also drag the Steam file to the taskbar to create a shortcut.
Make sure to run Steam as administrator before playing Red Dead Redemption 2.
If you use any other launcher or platform to play the game, make sure to also run it as administrator before playing Red Dead Redemption 2.
You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling Rockstar Games Social Club platform launcher.
